Leviathan Films was established in 2004 by UK based producer/director Nigel Levy.
Graduating with degrees in physics and philosophy, Nigel has become a highly sought after director producing TV programmes for a global audience. Although very different in content, his films have a reputation for combining stunning visuals with intimate, emotional story telling.
Working in both drama and documentary, they include the acclaimed observational documentary The Language Master, the science drama series' Making Astronauts and Learning to Love the Grey, and the drama-documentary series Disaster, all for the BBC. For Discovery Asia he established the series Crossings, in which he profiled the legendary Hong Kong star Jackie Chan and the Chinese actress and director Joan Chen (The Last Emperor). His most recent film is the feature-length arts documentary The Da Vinci Detective for Channel 4 UK.
His wide experience includes directing commercials (Japan/UK) and working in the theatre, as assistant director at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast. He also mentors young film-makers for the ongoing Film Council short film project "First Light". He is now developing feature length projects in both drama and documentary.
Nigel appeared in an advertising campaign for Panasonic, endorsing their new pro-sumer HDC-SD1 camera.
He is also featured in a global campaign promoting international media talent who have used Singapore as an Asian Media hub; Singapore Media Fusion.
